There's just something about Independence Day in Michigan. As a kid, I remember barbeques, "Up North," swimming in lakes, and fun times with family and friends. Lizzie's wedding brought to me the kind of nostalgia that should always come with this holiday! 

A DIY wedding at its best! Liz and Ryan were married on July 4th, 2014 in the backyard of an adorable lake house in Delton, MI. The weather? Perfect. The details? Handmade.

A neighbor was nice enough to let us borrow the barn that he built out of reclaimed wood. Amazing. The photos taken in front of it are probably some of my favorite wedding photos to date!

And finally, inspired by the DIY, handmade nature of this gorgeous event, I decided to change up my own routine a little bit. Instead of CDs, I will now give my clients their completed photos on flash drives packaged in personalized boxes! I think it looks adorable, gives it a personal touch, and well, brings us into this decade ;) I may tweak the design a little, but I feel like I'm on the right track!
